The design of a bracket is no simple task.
Every bracket must:
- fulfill structural requirements
- be produced from common materials
- be easy and efficient to weld, coat and test
- be shown on technical drawings in a way such that no misunderstandings might occur during manufacture
BRAIKO™ offers its clients different services to help speed up the engineering process. We provide consulting, structural calculation and complete engineering of brackets by us.

The quality of the raw materials is critical for the end product. Even materials from known manufacturers can have quality issues, rendering them useless for this type of product. If the bracket is installed on site, it is very costly to replace it with a new product.
For this reason, we offer additional options to test the materials we use beyond the standard requirements (by a body certified acc. EN 17020). These tests are additional to and do not replace the material certificates we receive from the manufacturers.
Currently we offer the following tests:
- chemical composition acc. EN 10025-2
- mechanical properties acc. EN 10025-2
- UT of sheets acc. EN 10164 / EN 583
- Z-testing acc. EN 10164
Further testig is possible on request.
Welding quality is crucial for the end product. As with material defects, quality issues with welding joints can have devastating consequences.
We at BRAIKO™ take this issue very seriously. Our production facility is EN 1090 EXC3 certified and can affix a CE mark to our products.
At our company both international welding engineers (IWE) and international welded structure designers (IWSD) take care of all welding quality issues.
In addition, we have an in-house VT and UT facility.
We offer our clients testing carried out by an independent laboratory, certified according to EN 17020.
- VT - visual testing
- MT - magnetic particle testing
- UT - ultrasonic testing
- PT - penetrant testing
- RT - radiographic testing
Small angular deviations may complicate installation. Non-co-axial holes must be repaired on site. Unneeded accuracy can lead to unnecessary costs.
We at BRAIKO™ can manufacture brackets with high accuracy requirements. In standard cases our parts are produced according to EN 13920 class B/F.
Engineers must use slotted holes to make brackets adjustable. Locking them can be achieved by making serrations on the bracket and the adjustment plate. As soon as the bolts are tightened, the serrations lock both plates into position so the bracket cannot slip.
These brackets can be easily readjusted by loosening the bolts. These simple operations save valuable installation time and cost.
We at BRAIKO™ have the means to produce different kinds of serrations on our CNC-Machines on sheets and profiles. Different geometries are part of our program.
Coatings protect the brackets against corrosion and provide a visible finish for exposed parts. In addition, coated parts must have no deformations and serrations must be still usable.
After many years of trial and error we offer our clients the following coating options for brackets with serrations:
For steel brackets
- hurl galvanizing acc. DAST 022 / EN ISO 1461
- hot dip galvanizing acc. DAST 022 / EN ISO 1461
- zinc electroplating
- PPC - powder polyester coating
- wet painting
For aluminium brackets
- anodizing
- PPC - powder polyester coating
Brackets are usually the first parts to be installed on site.
Brackets make up only 1.5% to 3.5% of the costs of the structure carried by them. Up to 30% of the installation time is associated with them.
We at BRAIKO™ work under pressure to deliver high-quality parts, in time, around the world.
Usually we need eight weeks lead time. Express orders can be done within two to four weeks.
Our brackets with serrations save valuable time on site and can be readjusted at any time.
The cost of brackets is in many cases nearly irrelevant to the cost of the main structure (usually 2.5 to 5% for steel structures), but they are an important factor on the efficiency of its construction process.
Nevertheless we realize that commercial pressure on our clients forces them to find cost-efficient solutions.
Therefore we try to offer the best possible price to our clients without any loss of quality.
